Kenya Kirinyaga Ensemble - Kabare Farmers Co Op Society
This Coop operates 11 wet mills with around 6000 smallholder farmers whom comprise Kabare Farmers’ Co-operative Society located in Kirinyaga County.
Kirinyaga County sits at the foothills of Mount Kenya, some 112 m from Nairobi and borders Embu County to the east, Machakos County to the south, Murang’a County to south west and Nyeri County to the west.
The county is named after Mount Kenya, which was originally known as Kirinyaga, meaning the crest of whiteness, synonymous with its snow-capped peaks.
We chose this coffee for its mix of sweet molasses notes which play delightfully with the heirloom tomato savory undertones, all set off by a candied grapefruit acidity and creamy mouthfeel.
